Settlement Agreements for Grand Avenue Widening <br />July 16, 2012 <br />Page 2 <br />To accommodate the widening for Phase I, partial acquisitions of 107, 309, and 315 North Grand <br />Avenue and the full acquisition of 1225 East Fourth Street are required (Exhibit 1). The project <br />also necessitates the relocation of tenants of the various acquired parcels. Gualterio Lazaro <br />Santos, the tenant of Unit H at 1221 East First Street, has agreed to the settlement amount of <br />$25,038 for all rights, title, and interest, including fixtures and equipment, of Santos Flowers #2 <br />business. The compensation amounts for these properties are the appraised values prepared by <br />an appraiser licensed by the State of California. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the proposed project has been <br />determined to be adequately evaluated in the previously prepared FEIR (SCH No. 1998051068) <br />approved by City Council in 2002. In accordance with National Environmental Policy Act, an <br />Environmental Assessment document with a Finding of No Significant Impact was prepared for <br />the proposed project and approved by the California Department of Transportation and Federal <br />Highway Administration in 2011. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds are appropriated in the Regional Surface Transportation Program (accounting unit <br />05917660-66220) and Transportation System Improvement Area Fund (accounting unit <br />99117950-66220). <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />Raul Godinez II <br />Executive Director <br />Public Works Agency <br />RG/JG <br />Exhibits: 1.
