HUIZAR, Clerk of the Council <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS - None <br />COUNCIL RECESSED to Room 147 for Closed Session discussion at 5:10 p.m. <br />CLOSED SESSION ITEMS - The Brown Act permits legislative bodies to discuss <br />certain matters without members of the public present. The City Council finds, based on <br />advice from the City Attorney, that discussion in open session of the following matters <br />will prejudice the position of the City in existing and anticipated litigation: <br />1A CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL--ANTICIPATED LITIGATION <br />pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(b) <br />• Two Matters* <br />• Allstate Insurance as Subrogee for Anthony Silva, Claim #2012-061 <br />*Mayor Pro Tern Alvarez recorded a Conflict of Interest and left room <br />at 5:12 p.m. She returned at 5:59 p.m. and noted for the record that <br />Clerk of the Council should have also recused herself. <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 1 JULY 2, 2012
