Exhibit A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES -- Beatrice T. Tiritilli /Ecology Camp <br />1) Instructor will teach <br />ECOLOGY CAMP <br />S � 20 /Session <br />Ages6 -�4yrs <br />LSS G/26/12 <br />Students in this camp will learn the fundamentals of environment science as they explore habitat of the <br />Santiago Park Nature Reserve. Topics covered will include: introduction to the local native ecosystem; <br />basic scientific and ecological principles; examination of microscopic organisms in the park and its creek; <br />conservation importance (energy, water, resources); and reasons and ways to avoid pollution while <br />protecting the environment Students will hike up to three miles per day during their explorations, so <br />weather- appropriate clothing, sunscreen, and sturdy shoes are essential. Students must also bring a sack <br />lunch, water bottle and backpack daily. Class begins June y 8. Memory Lane, Santa Ana, (714) 292 -2899 <br />DAY TIME SESSION <br />Mon -Fri 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM 6/18 - 6/22 <br />Mon -Fri 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM 6/25 - 6/29 <br />Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM 7/2 - 7/6 <br />2) The classes will be held on throughout the week. <br />3) Instructor will provide and be responsible for equipment, records, and personnel and <br />cleanup of the facilities and materials necessary to ensure the safety and effectiveness of <br />said instruction. <br />4) If Instructor allows others to teach his /her class, those teachers must be over 21, have <br />obtained and maintain an instructor rating, and be covered by Instructors' insurance. <br />Instructor shall provide City with documentation to verify instructor and insurance <br />requirements. <br />CLASS SIZE <br />1) Each class must have a minimum of 1 paid student and no more than a maximum of <br />20. <br />2) No registration will be accepted after the second meeting of class. <br />3) In the event the minimum number of enrollees is not realized by the second meeting of <br />the class, the class shall be canceled. Instructor will be under no obligation to provide <br />services and the City will have no obligations to pay Instructor compensation. <br />CLASS FEES <br />1) Class fee is $120.00/100.00 <br />2) No refunds will be made to participants after the first week of class unless the class is <br />cancelled by the City. <br />3) The City shall collect registration fees from each participant during the registration <br />period. Instructor shall not collect fees, but shall refer all interested participants to City <br />for registration. <br />4) Instructor shall receive one hundred per Cent (l00 %) of the total fees collected each <br />month. <br />5) Instructor agrees that City is entitled to audit Instructor's records and classes to ensure <br />compliance with this Agreement. <br />6) Instructor may not waive class participation/registration fees. <br />7) City shall prepare class rosters and provide a copy to Instructor. Only registered <br />participants may participate in class. <br />
