Exhibit A SCOPE OF SERVICES -- Beatrice T. Tiritilli /Ecology Camp 1) Instructor will teach ECOLOGY CAMP S � 20 /Session Ages6 -�4yrs LSS G/26/12 Students in this camp will learn the fundamentals of environment science as they explore habitat of the Santiago Park Nature Reserve. Topics covered will include: introduction to the local native ecosystem; basic scientific and ecological principles; examination of microscopic organisms in the park and its creek; conservation importance (energy, water, resources); and reasons and ways to avoid pollution while protecting the environment Students will hike up to three miles per day during their explorations, so weather- appropriate clothing, sunscreen, and sturdy shoes are essential. Students must also bring a sack lunch, water bottle and backpack daily. Class begins June y 8. NO class July 4. INSTRUCTOR: Bea Tiritilli LOCATION : Santiago Creek Nature Center, 600 E. Memory Lane, Santa Ana, (714) 292 -2899 DAY TIME SESSION Mon -Fri 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM 6/18 - 6/22 Mon -Fri 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM 6/25 - 6/29 Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM 7/2 - 7/6 2) The classes will be held on throughout the week. 3) Instructor will provide and be responsible for equipment, records, and personnel and cleanup of the facilities and materials necessary to ensure the safety and effectiveness of said instruction. 4) If Instructor allows others to teach his /her class, those teachers must be over 21, have obtained and maintain an instructor rating, and be covered by Instructors' insurance. Instructor shall provide City with documentation to verify instructor and insurance requirements. CLASS SIZE 1) Each class must have a minimum of 1 paid student and no more than a maximum of 20. 2) No registration will be accepted after the second meeting of class. 3) In the event the minimum number of enrollees is not realized by the second meeting of the class, the class shall be canceled. Instructor will be under no obligation to provide services and the City will have no obligations to pay Instructor compensation. CLASS FEES 1) Class fee is $120.00/100.00 2) No refunds will be made to participants after the first week of class unless the class is cancelled by the City. 3) The City shall collect registration fees from each participant during the registration period. Instructor shall not collect fees, but shall refer all interested participants to City for registration. 4) Instructor shall receive one hundred per Cent (l00 %) of the total fees collected each month. 5) Instructor agrees that City is entitled to audit Instructor's records and classes to ensure compliance with this Agreement. 6) Instructor may not waive class participation/registration fees. 7) City shall prepare class rosters and provide a copy to Instructor. Only registered participants may participate in class.
