RESOLUTION NO. 2001-053 <br />Kdo: 08/03/01 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE GITY COUNCIL OF SANTA ANA <br />AUTHORIZING THE FiUNG OF AN APPLICATION FOR <br />CERTIFICATION UNDER THE CERTIFIED LOCAL <br />GOVERNMENT HISTORIC PRESERVATION PROGRAM <br />AND APPOINTING THE DEPUTY CITY MANAGER FOR <br />DEVELOPMENT SERVICES AS AGENT FOR THE CITY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS; <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br />A. Congress under the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, amended <br />{16 U.S.C. § 470), has authorized the establishment of a Certified Local <br />Government program. <br />B. The State of California, represented by the State Historic Preservation <br />Officer, is responsible for the administration of the program within the state <br />and the establishment of necessary rules and procedures governing the <br />application by local agencies under the program. <br />C. The adopted procedures established by the State of California requires <br />the applicant to certify by resolution of the local government's elected <br />officials the approval of an application prior to the submission of the <br />application to the state. <br />D. On August 2, 2001, the Historic Resources Commission unanimously <br />recommended that the Clty Council approve the filing of an application for <br />certification under the Certified Local Government Historic Preservation <br />Program. <br />Se i n 2. The City Council hereby approves the filing of an application for <br />certification under the Certified Local Government Program. <br />Section 3. Appoints the Deputy City Manager far Development Services as the <br />agent of the City to coordinate, process and execute all contracts, agreements, <br />amendments and ancillary documents within the scope of the application for <br />certification. <br />Resolution No. 2007-053 <br />Page 7 of 2 <br />
