MOTION: <br />Continue the public hearing to September 10, 2012 <br />MOTION: Mill SECOND: Yrarrazaval <br />VOTE: AYES: Acosta, Alderete, Mill, Nalle, Turner, Yrarrazaval (6) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSTAIN: None (0) <br />ABSENT: Gartner (1) <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NOS. 2012-18 AND 2012-20 <br />Filed by Bruce Marsh to allow conditional use permits for after-hours operation and a <br />banquet facility at the Little Sparrow Cafe located at 300 North Main Street in the <br />Downtown (SD84) zoning district. <br />PUBLISHED IN THE ORANGE COUNTY REPORTER: August 17, 2012 <br />PUBLICLY NOTICED: August 16, 2012 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />a. Adopt a resolution approving Conditional Use Permit No. 2012-18 to allow the <br />restaurant's hours of operation to extend to 2:00 a.m. as conditioned. <br />b. PUBLIC COMMENTS (on non -agenda items) <br />No public members spoke <br />4. STAFF COMMENTS <br />Executive Director Trevino stated that joint public workshops for the Harbor Corridor <br />Study and the Circulation Element Update are planning to be scheduled in October. <br />Staff will provide the Commission with full details after the dates and locations have <br />been finalized. <br />Mr. Trevino also stated that staff is working to create new public outreach strategies <br />through a proposed "Sunshine Ordinance." The City Council is tentatively scheduled <br />to consider the recommendations at their meeting of September 10. Following any <br />Council action staff will provide a summary of the new outreach strategies to the <br />Planning Commission. <br />5. PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBER COMMENTS <br />Chairman Alderete requested an update on the Santiago Creek bike trail matter. <br />Commissioner Yrarrazaval requested that the Harbor Corridor Study and Circulation <br />Element joint public workshops be held in locations that are in the areas that could <br />be affected by any proposed changes. <br />Planning Commission Agenda <br />August 27, 2012 <br />
