Pesticides including but not limited to: Insecticides, fungicides, <br />herbicides, and rodentleldes shall be of the best quality obtainable, <br />properly labeled with guaranteed analysis, and brought to the job <br />site in the manufacturer's original container. <br />C. Tree stakes, tree ties and guy wines shall be of materials matching <br />those existing in the work site or as specified by the Director. <br />d. The Director shall of a size; condition and variety specify <br />replacement trees, shrubs, ground cover, and other plants. <br />e. The Director prior to planting shall Inspect replacement plant <br />materials. <br />f. The Director shall determine replacement lawn sod. <br />D. Recyclino <br />All organic waste (including leaves, grass clippings, brush, branches, and tree <br />parts) resulting from work performed under this contract shall be recycled <br />through composting or processing for use as mulch. Organic waste cannot be <br />landfilled unless the Director gives prior authorization. <br />The City shall provide green waste containers on the Zoo grounds for the <br />Contractor to dispose of green waste generated from his work (at the Zoo). In <br />addition, the City shall monitor the amount of green waste recycled and report to <br />the State of California in their annual report detailing the annual tonnage of green <br />wasted collected at the Zoo over a year's period. <br />It. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE <br />Routine maintenance shall include but not be limited to the following services performed <br />on the work site depicted in Exhibit A. <br />A. _ TURF ARE <br />All turf within this agreement is considered priority turf and shall be <br />maintained to the highest industry standards. <br />1) Mowing <br />a. All turf shall be mowed weekly with mulching mowers. Should the <br />mulching mowers leave behind grass clippings the Contractor shall <br />collect and dispose of the grass clippings immediately upon <br />request. <br />b• All turf shall be cut to a height appropriate for the type of grass <br />being mowed as determined by the Director. Note that the Director <br />may direct the'Contractorto mow the /priority turf areas lower if
