Twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week, the Contractor <br />shall be able to receive and respond to the City's call for <br />emergency service. Response time shall be less than two hours to <br />remove or eliminate a public safety hazard. Contractor shall <br />provide the City with a local telephone number where Contractor <br />can be contacted twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week. <br />13) New Maintenance Areas <br />Additional routine maintenance may be added to this contract. <br />Payment for add-on maintenance shall be computed on a square <br />foot cost per the bid. <br />14) Arterial Sidewalk Maintenance <br />Contractor shall remove weeds in the sidewalk and/or tree well <br />areas, remove sucker growth on parkway trees, trim vines along <br />walls so as not to allow plant material to impede pedestrian traffic <br />or grown onto sidewalk areas, and remove any debris and trash <br />daily. Contractor shall spray a pre-emergent to discourage future <br />weed growth. <br />III. SPECIAL MAINTENANCE CONSIDERATIONS <br />A. The Santa Ana Zoo animal collection will have a variety of individual <br />requirements regarding the maintenance around exhibits and in the vicinity of <br />Zoo animals. Because exhibits change from time to time the Director will notify <br />the Contractor of any specific maintenance requirements associated with any <br />change in animal exhibits. The Contractor agrees to being flexible by changing <br />maintenance practices and/or schedules as a condition of this agreement. <br />IV. EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE <br />A. The addition of plant material, or the addition or repair of irrigation system <br />equipment (from valve to water meter) with the exception of irrigation heads and <br />lateral lines may be considered extraordinary maintenance if damage or <br />malfunction is mainly caused by any of the following: <br />(1) Acts of God <br />(2) Civic Disorder <br />(3) Vehicle Collision <br />(4) Vandals <br />(5) Excavation or re-surfacing of the street <br />(6) Power failures <br />(7) Underground wiring damage
