Our
staff will be prepared to provide bi-lingual support to the Public Outreach team, as needed, in
the presentation of technical information. The Cordoba team will also prepare presentation
materials for the four community workshops, working in close coordination with the City's Public
Outreach Consultant.
The Cordoba team will be responsible for the preparation of presentation materials and insuring
that all key technical staff is present at the Workshops and available to interact with the public
and provide information about the studies.
Deliverable(s) - Attendance at four (4) Community Workshops and development of required
presentation material
TASK 3.0 PURPOSE & NEED
This task will review previous planning studies for the "Santa Ana & Garden Grove Transit
Vision and Go Local Project Concept Study", the OCTA Centerline project data and update
these materials for use in the AA Study.
Task 3.1 Prior Studies and Plans
The Cordoba team will compile and familiarize ourselves with previous studies, plans and other
documents pertaining to land use and transportation planning within the study area and the
surrounding Central County area. Key members of our team completed Phase I of the Central
County Corridor MIS and are currently completing Phase II, making us particularly
knowledgeable with this important study. Our firm served as OCTA's Program Manager for The
Centerline and as such, has a thorough understanding of that project and ready access to
many of the plans and documents from that study. But we will also consider other studies such
as the West Orange County Project Definition Study that considered fixed guideway along the
PE ROW connecting to the SARTC; the Renaissance Plan that addresses transit oriented
development surrounding the SARTC and land use considerations through the Downtown area;
the planning and design for Bristol Street and the studies for the OCTA's planned BRT on
Harbor Boulevard, 17th Street/Westminster Avenue and Bristol Street. We will work with the
City to identify any additional relevant studies including those conducted by the City, OCTA,
SCAG, Caltrans, Metrolink or others. The purpose is to provide historical context for the current
alternatives analysis, begin to develop the information from which to define the mobility problem,
purpose and need for the project, and to benefit from lessons learned as we move forward with
the project.
The Cordoba team will determine the adequacy and deficiencies of the previous information and
identify areas that need updating, as well as the additional data that needs to be collected. We
will create an annotated bibliography for distribution to the study team so that all team members
are informed of the information available for use throughout the study.
Deliverable(s) - Annotated Bibliograph
51 Page
