Status reports of activities performed <br />by the Contractor will be submitted in writing to the City on a weekly basis or as <br />determined necessary by the City. <br />Any specific problem area which does not meet the conditions of the <br />specifications set forth herein shall be called to the attention of the Contractor <br />and if not corrected, payment to the Contractor will not be made until condition is <br />corrected in a satisfactory manner as set forth in the specifications. <br />R. MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT <br />The contractor shall make a reasonable effort to purchase equipment and <br />materials in the City of Santa Ana and to utilize Santa Ana vendors. Such efforts <br />shall be provided to the City. The City shall have the ability to provide a list of <br />possible Santa Ana vendors to the Contractor. The City has the option to <br />purchase and provide materials. The City has the option to purchase special <br />material or the City will reimburse the Contractor for purchase of special material <br />only after authorization by the City. <br />111. DEFINITIONS <br />1. City - shall mean City of Santa Ana and representatives of the City of Santa <br />Ana, i.e. Police Department or Public Works Agency. <br />2. Contractor Holidays - New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, <br />Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day or as designated by the <br />City. <br />3. Inclement Weather - weather conditions that prohibit the effective operation <br />of parking control enforcement operations. <br />4. Street - all paved dedicated public rights-of-way within the existing or future <br />City limits. <br />5. Parking Enforcement Supervisor - an employee of the contractor with <br />supervisory authority over the Parking Enforcement Checkers and possesses <br />the requisite authority to make decisions, respond to complaints on behalf of <br />the company and engage designees from the City regarding any service <br />concerns. As an ancillary duty, a Parking Enforcement Supervisor may <br />perform the duties of a Parking Enforcement Checker as outlined in this RFP <br />including the enforcement of designated sections of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code or the California Vehicle Code as authorized by the Chief of Police or <br />traffic control. <br />6. Parking Enforcement Checker - an employee of the contractor assigned to <br />perform the duties outlined in this RFP including the enforcement of <br />designated sections of the Santa Ana Municipal Code or the California <br />Vehicle Code as authorized by the Chief of Police or traffic control.
