PARKING MANAGEMENT PLAN <br />FOR <br />DISCOVERY SCIENCE CENTER <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br />October 2012 <br />Weekends (Table 2 <br />Peak Parking Demand: 2 PM <br />Visitors — 523 <br />Employees — 83 <br />Total Demand -- 606 <br />On -Site Parking Supply <br />Visitors —182 <br />Employees — 0 <br />Total Supply — 182 <br />Customer Self - Parking. All 182 parking spaces will be provided for customer self - parking in <br />the Center's parking lot. All employee parking should take place in off -site lots. <br />Customer Off -Site Parking. Approximately 341 parking spaces will be provided for customer <br />off -site parking in lots located within walking distance of the Center. <br />Employee On -Site Self- Parking. No employees should be parked in the Center's on -site <br />parking lot. <br />Employee Off -Site Self- Parking. All employees should be parked off -site to allow visitors <br />access to the prime parking spaces within the Center's parking lot. The off -site employee lot will <br />need to accommodate approximately 83 employee vehicles. <br />Off -Site Lot Utilization. Approximately 424 off -site parking spaces will need to be provided. <br />All 83 employees and 92 customers should be parked in the Wells Fargo lot with the remaining <br />249 customer spaces located in the Citibank parking garage. <br />PARKING MANAGEMENT MEASURES <br />Weekdays and Weekends <br />To assist in the efficient utilization of its parking supply, the Center shall: <br />1. Post directions and a parking lot location map with the variety of travel routes available <br />for public visitors on the Center's website. <br />2. Manage the use of all on -site public parking spaces to avoid underutilization of parking <br />spaces. (See Figure 2) <br />3. Manage bus parking circulation and parking.
