A. Effective July 1, 2002, employees covered by this Agreement began contributing <br />one-half percent (.5%) of their base salary, plus pay additives, through payroll <br />deduction to a fund established by the PMA to subsidize the cost of retiree health <br />insurance premiums for qualified members. This payroll deduction for retiree health <br />insurance premium reduction assistance will continue until such time as the parties <br />may mutually agree to end said deduction. <br />B. Effective October 1, 2006, the City began contributing one-half of one percent (.5%) <br />of the bargaining unit's salary base, plus pay additives, for the purpose specified <br />herein. <br />C. Effective October 1, 2008, the City began contributing an additional four tenths of <br />one percent (.40) for a total City contribution of nine tenths of one percent (.90%) of <br />the bargaining unit's salary base, plus pay additives, for the purpose specified herein. <br />D. Effective October 1, 2009, the City began contributing an additional three and one- <br />halftenths of one percent (.35%) for a total City contribution of one and one quarter <br />percent (1.25%) of the bargaining unit's salary base, plus pay additives, for the <br />purpose specified herein. <br />E. Effective November 28, 2011, the City adopted a resolution, authorizing <br />implementation of the "Vantage Care" Retirement Health Savings Plan ("RHS), <br />which designated ICMA-RC as the administrator of the plan. <br />1. All contributions previously designated for deposit in the PMA Medical <br />Retirement Subsidy Plan funds, pursuant to Article XII, Section 12.7 of the <br />current MOU between the City and the PMA, shall now be deposited into the <br />Retirement Health Savings Plan established specifically for the PMA. This <br />shall include all contributions made by the City and all contributions made by <br />employees pursuant to this Section. <br />2. Additionally, the contribution recently made by the City in October 2011, <br />totaling one and one-quarter percent (1.25%) of base salary, plus pay <br />additives, shall be deposited in the individual accounts of the PMA members <br />established with plan administrator ICMA-RC. Effective duly 1, 2012 or as <br />soon as practicable following Council approval of this Agreement, this one <br />and one-quarter percent (1.25%) of base salary, plus pay additives, shall be <br />deposited each may period in the individual accounts of PMA members <br />established with plan administrator ICMA-RC. <br />3.
