Set Public Hearing For_ <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Approve Legal Services Agreement with Jones & Mayer. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The City retains outside legal counsel from time-to-time in cases involving the defense of the City <br />and its police officers. <br />The City Attorney desires to engage James R. Touchstone, Esq., of Jones & Mayer to act as <br />conflict counsel when such is needed to represent an individual defendant officer. The proposed <br />Agreement is for a term of one year and for an amount not to exceed $50,000. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Upon approval of the additional funding, funds will be available in the Liability and Property <br />Insurance Fund, Contracted Vendor Personnel Services account (account no. 08009051-62302). <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br /> <br />Sonia R.
