Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Award a contract to Galls, LLC for Police Department uniforms for a three-year period, with <br />provision for two, one-year renewals in an annual amount not to exceed $215,000. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Santa Ana Police Department requires uniforms to outfit approximately 560 Police <br />personnel. Uniforms indentify department personnel by assigned duties and give a professional <br />appearance. In addition, other agencies provide uniforms, shirts and miscellaneous items such <br />as belts and boots for their normal operations and to comply with safety requirements. <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on November 28, 2012 and bids were solicited. A <br />summary of the bid invitations and bids received is as follows: <br />3 Invitations For Bid mailed <br />1 Bid received <br />The bid received and opened on December 13, 2012 from Galls, LLC is responsive to the <br />specifications and meets the City's requirements. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds are available in the Police Property & Facilities Miscellaneous Operating Expenses <br />account (no. 01114450-63001). <br />22A-1
