Set Public Hearing For_ <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute agreements with Power <br />Engineers, Inc., and Chambers Group, Inc., subject to nonsubstantive changes approved by the <br />City Manager and City Attorney, to provide environmental services for the not-to-exceed amount <br />of $200,000 for each firm. <br />DISCUSSION <br />City staff has solicited proposals from Environmental Engineering firms to provide environmental <br />services. These consultants are necessary to augment work efforts related to analysis of <br />proposed projects for compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act and/or the <br />National Environmental Policy Act. <br />The Request for Proposals (RFP) was posted on the City website for a period of 28 days. Eleven <br />firms submitted proposals, which were evaluated by a review committee comprised of personnel <br />from the Public Works and Planning and Building Agencies. Ratings were based on criteria <br />related to qualifications of the firms, project team, responsiveness to the RFP, and capacity to <br />perform the required work. Based on the proposals submitted, the ratings for the firms are as <br />follows: <br /> FIRM RATING <br />1. Power Engineers, Inc. 92.0 <br />2. Chambers Group, Inc. 91.8 <br />3.
