Legal Services Agreements <br />February 2, 1998 <br />Page 2 <br />The remaining recommended firms will provide specialized services_ Gibbons <br />and Conely will continue to represent the City in insurance coverage <br />matters. Murtaugh, Miller, Meyer and Nelson will continue to serve as the <br />legal advisor to the Personnel Board, replacing Richard Politiski and <br />Associates. Finally, the firm of Kaufman, Fox and Sohagi will be assigned <br />cases involving specialized land use related areas of law, including <br />environmental issues, eminent domain, and adult business regulation. <br />The billing rates for these firms vary from $100 to $125 per hour, plus <br />reimbursable costs for such expenses as authorized travel, photocopying, and <br />facsimile transmissions. In surveying the market for these services, staff <br />found these rates to be extremely competitive. Any adjustments in these <br />rates will be subject to approval of the City Attorney.
