HUIZAR, Clerk of the Council <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />• Manuel Pena, wished all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year; concerned with <br />City Manager evaluation on Special Meeting agenda; opined that City Manager <br />has community support. <br />• Tim Rush, support City Manager and City Attorney; City Manager has <br />institutional knowledge and City Attorney obvious community interest; Charter <br />has provisions for removal that should be followed. <br />• Cheri Kerr, support City Manager and contract. <br />• Bobbi Keenan, disappointed that some councilmembers not present; disturbed <br />with perceived partisanship on the City Council; opined that City Manager <br />experienced as Police Chief, not current position. <br />• Herb Rose, opined that credentials of City Manager appropriate for position; <br />transparency important in evaluation process and not during the Holiday closure. <br />• Robert Escalante, commented on City Manager's 40 year experience in the City; <br />City Attorney has done exceptional job. <br />• Jeff Dickman, resident of Historic French Park Neighborhood association, <br />commented on relationship with City Attorney built on trust, competence, fair and <br />ethical, opined that City should have done national search before hiring City <br />Manager to find most experienced individual. <br />MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING <br />DECEMBER 27, 2012 <br />1 0B-1
