PUBLIC COMMENTS (items not on the auenda) Jeannie Gillett announced the passing of James D. Sleeper, Orange County historian. A memorial service will be held at Fairhaven's Waverley Chapel at noon on Friday, October 12. She announced the Santa Ana Historical Society's 15~h annual Cemetery Tour, on Saturday, October 20 and the California Preservation Conference on May 2-3, 2013, in which The Old Orchard Conservancy will have a participating workshop. STAFF AND COMMISSION GOMMENTS 3. STAFF COMMENTS Planning Manager Haluza announced the community workshops regarding the General Plan Circulation Element Update and the Harbor Corridor Plan to be held on Wednesday, October 10 starting at 5:30 p.m. at Madison Elementary School and on Saturday, October 13 starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union Building at 3904 West First Street. The workshops will share complete street ideas, proposed new bicycle lanes and routes, pedestrian opportunity areas, and updates to the goals and policies for the Circulation Element as welt as introduce the draft land use and circulation concepts for the Harbor Corridor Plan.
