Agreement Number: <br />AGREEMENT FOR TRANSFER OR PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT/SERVICES OR FOR <br />REIMBURSEMENT OF TRAINING COSTS <br />FOR FY2012 URBAN AREAS SECURITY INITIATIVE (UASI) <br />BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF ANAHEIM <br />AND ((CITY OF SANTA ANA> <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this 16th day of January, 2013, by and <br />between the CITY OF ANAHEIM, a municipal corporation (the "CITY"), and CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA (the "SUB-RECIPIENT" or "Contractor"). <br />WITNESSETH <br />WHEREAS, CITY, acting through the Anaheim Police Department in its capacity <br />as a Core City for the Anaheim/Santa Ana Urban Area under the FY12 Urban Areas <br />Security Initiative, has applied for, received and accepted a grant entitled "FY 2012 <br />Urban Areas Security Initiative" from the federal Department Of Homeland <br />Security(DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), through the State of <br />California Emergency Management Agency (CalEMA), to enhance countywide <br />emergency preparedness (the "grant"), as set forth in the grant guidelines and <br />assurances that are incorporated to this Agreement by reference and located at: <br />"U.S. Department of Homeland Security "Fiscal Year 2012 Homeland Security Grant <br />Program (HSGP) Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA)" <br />http://www.fema.2oy/pdf/government/grant/2012/fyl2 hsgp foa.pdf <br />California Emergency Management Agency "FY2012 Homeland Security Grant Program: <br />California Supplement to Federal Program Guidance and Application Kit" <br />http://www.calema.ca.gov/EMS-HS- <br />HazMat/Documents/Forms/AlIItems.aspx?RootFolder=%2fems%2dhs%2dhazmat%2fdoc <br />uments%2fhsgp%2f12&FolderCTID=Ox0120006A354236AB42C94392941414E26E15D2 <br />Copies of the grant guidelines shall be retained in the Anaheim/Santa Ana <br />Grant Office. <br />WHEREAS, this financial assistance is administered by the CITY OF ANAHEIM <br />("CITY") and is overseen by the California Emergency Management Agency ("Cal- <br />EMA"); and <br />WHEREAS, this financial assistance is being provided to address the unique <br />equipment, training, planning, and exercise needs of large urban areas, and to assist <br />them in building an enhanced and sustainable capacity to prevent, respond to, and <br />recover from threats or acts of terrorism; and <br />1 <br />20A-6
