Approve an Appropriation Adjustment recognizing Federal Demonstration Funds in the amount <br />of $594,000 into the Select Street Construction Fund revenue account (05917002-52000) and <br />appropriating the same into the Select Street Construction Fund expenditure account <br />(05917660-66220) for the Bristol Street Widening Project - Phase IIIA from Civic Center Drive <br />to Washington Avenue. <br />2. Approve an Appropriation Adjustment recognizing Federal Demonstration Funds in the amount <br />of $737,946 into the Select Street Construction Fund revenue account (05917002-52000) and <br />appropriating the same into the Select Street Construction Fund expenditure account <br />(05917660-66220) for the Bristol Street Widening Project - Phase IV from Warner Avenue to <br />Saint Andrew Place. <br />DISCUSSION <br />On March 6, 2006, the City Council approved a cooperative agreement between the City and the <br />Orange County Transportation Authority to fund Bristol Street improvements from Warner Avenue <br />to Seventeenth Street. The first phase of the project (between Pine Street and McFadden Avenue) <br />was completed in April 2011 and the second phase of the project (between Third Street and Civic <br />Center Drive) will commence construction in April 2013. <br />The next phases of the Bristol Street Widening consist of Phase IIIA from Civic Center Drive to <br />Washington Avenue and Phase IV from Warner Avenue to Saint Andrew Place (Exhibit 1). Both <br />projects will widen this major arterial roadway from four to six lanes, to be consistent with the City's <br />General Plan Circulation Element and OCTA Master Plan of Arterial Highways. <br />20C-1
