Contract Award for Bristol Street Widening <br />and Bristol Street Water and Sewer Main Improvements <br />January 22, 2013 <br />Page 2 <br />This project will widen Bristol Street from two to three lanes in each direction, add bike lanes, <br />increase the sidewalk width, and add parkway and median landscaping. The widening will also <br />include new traffic signals at the Santa Ana Boulevard and Civic Center Drive intersection, bus <br />turnouts to improve traffic flow, bioswales to reduce surface run -off, sound walls adjacent to <br />residential parcels, water and sewer system improvements, and a storm drain to improve drainage. <br />Once completed, these improvements will enhance the ride quality, surface drainage, and visual <br />appearance of the Bristol Street corridor. <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on October 16 & 17, 2012, and bids were opened on <br />November 15, 2012.
