B. The City agrees to provide Miscellaneous employees covered by this <br />Agreement who are appointed to their classification on or after <br />January 1, 2013 and are not new members as defined by the <br />California Public Employees' Pension Reform Act of 2013 (AB340), with <br />the 2.7% at 55 Service Retirement benefit. Pursuant to CalPERS, this <br />formula shall apply only to the afore-mentioned CASA employees that <br />are in an active status. This formula shall apply to each year of eligible <br />service credited with the City of Santa Ana. <br />C. Payment toward the 2.7% at 55 Service Retirement Benefit. Employees <br />defined in Section 13.3.A (above) covered by this Agreement began <br />paying a total of 6.3% on July 1, 2009 toward the cost of the 2.7% at 55 <br />enhanced retirement formula. Effective as soon as practicable <br />following approval of the Memorandum of Understanding by the City <br />Council, miscellaneous employees covered by this Agreement agree <br />to contribute an additional 1 % toward the employer cost of the 2.7% at <br />55 retirement benefit, for a new total contribution of 7.3%. <br />Effective the first full pay period of January 2012, CASA members <br />agree to pay an additional .7% of their salary (for a total contribution <br />of 8%) of the employer contribution. All employer contributions to <br />CalPERS for their retirement benefits shall be implemented as cost- <br />sharing pursuant to Government Code Section 20516(f). To the extent <br />permitted by CalPERS and the Internal Revenue Service, this additional <br />.7% shall be implemented through payroll deductions on a pre-tax <br />basis. <br />Employees defined in Section 13.3.13 (above) shall contribute 10.5% of <br />their salary toward the employer contribution of the 2.7% at 55 <br />retirement benefit. All employer contributions to CalPERS for their <br />retirement benefits shall be implemented as cost-sharing pursuant to <br />Government Code Section 20516(f). <br />Pre-Taxable Benefit. To the extent permitted by CalPERS and Internal <br />Revenue Service regulations, the City shall make the above employee <br />deductions pre-tax contributions. <br />13.4 2.0% at 62 Service Retirement Benefit for Miscellaneous Members. <br />A.
