Box 14184, <br />Orange, California 92863, a public corporation of the State of California (hereinafter referred to as <br />"AUTHORITY"), and the City of Santa Ana, 20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California 92701, a <br />municipal corporation duly organized and existing under the constitution and laws of the State of <br />California (hereinafter referred to as "CITY"), mutually referred to herein as "PARTIES" or each <br />individually as a "PARTY". <br />RECITALS: <br />WHEREAS, AUTHORITY and CITY desire to enter into a Cooperative Agreement to define <br />the roles and responsibilities related to funding between AUTHORITY and CITY for the <br />Santa Ana Rehabilitation Project (hereinafter referred to as "PROJECT") as defined by the project <br />description provided by CITY in its application for the State-Local Partnership Program Formula <br />Grant Call for Projects, incorporated herein by reference; and <br />WHEREAS, the California Transportation Commission (CTC) programs and allocates the <br />Proposition 1 B Highway Safety, Traffic Reduction, Air Quality, and Port Security Bond Act of 2006; <br />(Proposition 1 B) State-Local Partnership Program (SLPP) funds on behalf of the State of California; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) administers the SLPP <br />program on behalf of the State of California and the California Transportation Commission (CTC), <br />Page 1 of 12 <br />L:Camm\CLERICAL\CLERICAL\W ORDPROCW GREE1AG21849.doc
