ATTACHMENT A 2012 -DJ -BX -0057 <br />Goals of the groiect: <br />• Reduction of property crimes <br />• Use of Crime Analysis Unit <br />• Targeted enforcement based on intelligence based predictive policing <br />• Implementation of crime prevention through environmental design <br />• Establish Problem — Oriented Policing approach <br />Strategies to be used for project: <br />• Target enforcement <br />• Saturation patrols <br />• Use of Crime Analysis Unit to assist with target enforcement <br />Project identifiers: <br />• Crime mapping <br />• Career Criminals <br />• Community Policing <br />• Crime Prevention <br />• Policing <br />• Overtime <br />Budget and Budget Narrative: <br />These funds will be used for overtime expenses incurred by front line deputy sheriffs assigned to the <br />Special Enforcement Team. The overtime will enhance the effectiveness of the program and allow both <br />saturation/surge patrols during varying hours of the day. Realizing crime is not restricted by city limits, <br />the overtime hours will allow these deputies the flexibility to assist other local and regional investigative <br />details combating property crimes <br />4 of deputies x $68.46/43 hrs. each(total hrs. 172.12) = $11,784 <br />Timeline and/or groiect plan: Identify when the goals and objectives will be completed. <br />Complete within the next fiscal year — 2012/2013 — Deployment of saturation patrols to reduce property <br />crime rates in the unincorporated areas of south Orange County. <br />Funding: <br />Total Allocation: $14,548 <br />PROACT Contribution: (10 %) $1,455 <br />Administrative Fee (9 %): $1,309 <br />Funds Retained by City /County: $11,784 <br />2012 -DJ -BX -2532 Page 5 of 30 <br />
