ATTACHMENT A 2012 -DJ -BX -0057 <br />BJA FY 12 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program <br />PROGRAM NARRATIVE <br />General Description of Program Activities: <br />The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) funds will be utilized to support a broad <br />range of activities to prevent and control crime within the County of Orange. The County of Orange has <br />been certified disparate; therefore, this joint application includes sixteen units of local government for <br />which the applicant and fiscal agent is the County of Orange. <br />The JAG funds will be utilized for the purpose areas outlined in the grant solicitation. The fourteen units <br />of local government in the jurisdiction will utilize the funds for local initiatives, technical assistance, <br />training, personnel, equipment, supplies, and contractual support and information systems for criminal <br />justice within the following purpose areas: law enforcement, prosecution and court, prevention and <br />education, corrections and community corrections, drug treatment, and planning, evaluation and <br />technology improvement.
