Commissioner Yrarrazaval asked that this be noted <br />for clarification and clear far permanent record. <br />Written communication received from Dwight and Lowell Schroeder opposing <br />historic designation; and Jeannie Gillett, Deborah Strunk, Coni Claypoole, <br />Orange County Historical Commission, LULAC and Inland Orange Conservancy <br />in support of designation. <br />The public hearing was opened at 5:11 p.m. and the following speakers <br />addressed the Commission on the matter: <br />• Yvonne Gonzalez Duncan, Chairperson of Heritage Museum of Orange <br />County, invited Commissioners to the Heritage Music and Arts Festival <br />fundraiser on June 2. <br />• Michele Calegury, Program Coordinator of Heritage Museum of Orange <br />County spoke in support of historic designation. <br />• .Jeff Dickman, member of the Historic French Park Association, spoke in <br />support of historic designation. <br />• Jeannie Gillett, representing Save Our Orchard, spoke in support of <br />designation. <br />• Deborah Strunk spoke in support of designation. <br />• Julie Stroud, Commissioner on the Orange County Historical Commission, <br />spoke in support of historic designation. <br />• Kevin Tilden, representing property owner Concordia University, spoke in <br />opposition to designation. <br />• Dwight Schroeder spoke in apposition to designation. <br />• Greg Pinick, representing Orange Lutheran High School, spoke in <br />opposition of designation. <br />Robert Odle, representative of Concordia and Orange Lutheran High <br />School, reiterated the opposition of his clients to the designation. <br />• Nick Spain, representing Save Our Orchard Coalition, spoke in support of <br />historic designation. <br />• Jamie Sue Abrahams spoke in support of designation. <br />• Lowell Schroeder spoke in opposition to designation. <br />The public hearing was closed at 5:59 p.m. <br />Commission discussion ensued an the designation of the properly with the <br />following concerns cited: opposition of the property owner to the listing, the <br />His#oric Resources Commission Minu#es 5 April 5, 2012 <br />
