• Provide assistance with travel logistics for Washington visits, including local transportation <br />and meals for working meetings. <br />1. Consultant will contact federal agencies on the City's behalf when City applications are under <br />consideration by such agencies and otherwise take whatever steps appear to be necessary to obtain <br />the most favorable consideration of such applications <br />Developing a regular pattern of contacts with agency officials is an essential element of a successful <br />funding strategy for the City. The advocacy team will work with the City to contact federal <br />departments/agencies with regard to the City's grant proposals at strategic times in the grant <br />application cycle, as well as corral the necessary local, regional and federal political support to <br />improve the probability that the City will succeed in securing funding. <br />Examples of our funding successes utilizing this strategy for other clients are available in the <br />"Implementation Plan" section of this proposal. <br />J. In fulfilling responsibilities under this Agreement, the Consultant will act in the name of the City of <br />Santa Ana and with the title Washington Representative to the City Manager. <br />Holland & Knight would consider it a privilege to be your Washington Representative and act in <br />your name as we perform our services in the nation's capital.
