2013/14 I 2010/11- 2014/15 CITY OF SANTA ANA CONSOLIDATED PLAN <br />ACTION PLAN <br />and epidemiological data were reviewed and incorporated into the planning effort. Critical <br />issues and service gaps were identified and an advisory committee developed <br />recommendations. This strategy meeting was held on February 4, 2013. These findings <br />have been used by the Housing Committee of the Orange County HIV Planning Council to <br />develop a list of recommended activities for HOPWA funding during FY 2013-2014, as well <br />as the expenditure of approximately $2.06 million in Ryan White and $166,730 in Minority <br />AIDS Initiative resources that are expected to be available during <br />The specific activities to be undertaken in program year 2013-2014 will be to provide <br />supportive housing services and tenant-based rental assistance. To better measure the <br />intended outcomes of HOPWA-funded activities, HUD has implemented a comprehensive <br />reporting document. The City will work with its subrecipients to ensure all required data is <br />captured and reported. As required by HUD, the following information is provided <br />regarding HOPWA-funded activities for the 2013-2014 Program Year: <br />TABLE 5: HOPWA ANNUAL GOALS 2013-2014 <br />HIV/AIDS HOUSING PROGRAM <br />Short Term Rent ANNUAL .. <br />50 Individuals <br />Mortgage/Utility Assistance 75 Individuals <br />Emergency Shelter <br />Transitional Housing <br />Tenant-Based Rental Assistance 50 Individuals <br />Housing Units Under Lease or Under Development 0 Units <br />Source: City of Santa Ana LOmmunity Development Agency <br />In order for grassroots, faith-based and other community organizations to have access to <br />HOPWA-funded housing services, the City of Santa Ana ensures that all such organizations <br />are invited to the HIV Planning Council's strategic planning meeting. These same agencies <br />are also invited to participate on the Housing Committee of the HIV Planning Council. <br />Furthermore, nonprofit housing development agencies are provided information regarding <br />housing development opportunities that are funded through HOWPA. <br />42 DRAFT 04/22/2013 <br />29A-47
