Check server event logs. Document event items outside of normal operation. <br />2. Verify server database backups have been completed successfully. Document <br />and troubleshoot failed backup jobs. <br />3. Test Recovery of data from tapes. The first Friday night backup job from the <br />previous month will be tested to ensure the data can be recovered, if available at <br />the time of the visit. <br />4. Check patch status of server. Install patches if possible at the time of <br />maintenance visit. If a subsequent visit is required to install patches for any <br />reason, it will be billed at the normal hourly rate. <br />5. Check server RAID controller and verify proper operation of all disks. <br />6. Prepare monthly summary report with backup status, event log, patches applied, <br />RAID status, and any other pertinent information. <br />7. Verify daily backup job from infraMap workstation to server is operating normally. <br />Document and troubleshoot failed jobs. <br />8. Check SQL server event logs.
