0 <br />on print attached to application of Pacific Wlectrio F{ailway <br />Company�filed with the City Clerk of said city on the <br />day of June, 1816, s nd masked W44'01, f1. 2687A. <br />It being understood that the grantee of this franchise <br />shall have the right fit nny . time within the life thereof', to <br />make such change in the 11erfen of the trace herein above <br />described as may be necessary by reason of the construction <br />by said grantee or assigns of a second track along said Main <br />Street. <br />SGotion 2. The terms and conditions upon which said <br />right and 1=1 vilege are granted are as follows: <br />1. The railroad constructed and operated under <br />this right axid privilege shall be used as a connecting; track <br />Letween the lines of the grantee, Pacific electric hailwW <br />Company and the railroad track of the Southern Pacific Railroad <br />Company. <br />2. That the tracks to be constructed and operated <br />under this right shall be pinc ed as near each other as a, proper <br />regard for safety will allow. <br />Section 3. That said grantee, its successors and assigns, <br />shall use good materiel in the construction of said road, and <br />the said road shall be built in a good and workmanlike manner; <br />and the said grantee, its successors and assigns, shall at its <br />or their expeas& pave, gravel or macadamize the said road, <br />between the tracks, and between the rails, And for tvw feet <br />on each side thereof• where said road is constructed along or <br />,arose said streets, with the same materiel used by the City <br />t;.nd under the same specifications and in the same manner as <br />upon the streets across which said road runs, respectively, <br />and shall keep the same constantly paved, graveled or macada- <br />mized and in good repair and as near as possible on the grade <br />with the streets; all repairs find grading on said street or <br />streets where such road or rondbed runs, to be done under the <br />(2) <br />
