Staff Training $400.00 <br />Youth employment staff will receive training throughout the 12 months of the program In <br />addition, the staff may participate in non -WIA trainings to build their professional skills to <br />ensure more effective and efficient delivery of service. Examples of trainings may include case <br />management skills, placement/guidance skills, gang intervention techniques, skills necessary to <br />work with disabled youth, and excel /access database management. <br />Staff Travel/Mileage Reimbursement $500.00 <br />OCAPICA allows $0.555 /mile. This will cover a monthly mileage of approximately 135 miles <br />among 2.15 FTE x 12 months. Mileage includes going to meetings, conducting outreach, <br />recruitment of youth, providing transportation to youth, and meeting with youth. <br />Participant Costs <br />Participant Wages $25,200.00 <br />Participant wages will be provided for each participant. Wages will be earned through work <br />experience or on- the -job training. Each participant may be eligible for up to 50 hours of paid <br />work readiness training and 150 hours of worksite experience placement for a total of 200 hours. <br />(200 Hours X $8.00 X 15 participants = $24,000). In addition, there is an OCAPICA <br />administrative cost to process the payroll ($1,200). <br />Participant Benefits $2,880.00 <br />This also includes a 12% benefits rate that includes payroll tax, workers' comp, and <br />unemployment insurance for participants. In addition, there is an OCAPICA administrative cost <br />to process the payroll. <br />Participant Supportive Services $6,500.00 <br />Supportive services include the costs of transportation, child care, housing, and other identified <br />needs for the participants that supports them to participate in job and leadership skills activities. <br />This includes the cost of student supplies for participants to help support them in their <br />completion of certification programs, their GED, and /or secondary and post - secondary <br />educational goals. OCAPICA expects an average of $417 in supportive services to be distributed <br />per participant. See Section IV Attachments for Supportive Services Matrix. <br />Participant Incentives $2,500.00 <br />Small incentives will be provided to youth participants for participation and completion in WIA <br />activities, including, job skills training, workshops, completion of GED or graduation <br />requirements, and other successful activities completed by the youth. Incentives may be gift <br />cards or fieldtrips. OCAPICA expects an average of $167 in incentives to be distributed per <br />participant. See Section IV Attachments for Incentive Matrix. <br />Youth Conferences $1,500.00 <br />This will cover the costs for youth to be able to participate in conferences, training programs, and <br />field trips - including covering the registration or tuition fees, career exploration activities and <br />opportunities, certification programs, or other job and career development training programs that <br />are proven to be effective and needed for the youth to obtain a job and further develop their <br />career interests. <br />EXHIBIT G <br />25D -104 <br />
