Curriculum shall consist of. <br />• The first week will be comprised of introductory courses for all 20 students <br />reviewing the 6 main subjects of the program. <br />• In the following 8 weeks, the students will participate in 16 hours of <br />instruction in Graphics Design and Website Design each. Simultaneously they <br />will also attend 16 hours of instruction in Scriptwnting, and Video <br />Production. Sessions will be weekly and include both in -class work and field <br />trips to the Digital Media Center, <br />• For the second half of the year, students will be able to select a course on <br />which they would like to concentrate for the remainder of the grant period. <br />Tentatively, 15 will continue on with two months of Web Design or Video <br />Production while 5 will move on to start 4 months of specialized Digital <br />Music Production training. <br />• Throughout the Concentration Course phase, all 20 students will participate in <br />four months of weekly classes in Marketing. These courses will intermittently <br />include soft skills workshops in Customer Service, Team Building, Attitude in <br />the Workplace, Values and Ethics, and Conflict Management that will run for <br />three (3) hours each. <br />• Finally, the last two months of the program, selected high - achieving students <br />will complete apprenticeships at the library. <br />2. RSCCD will provide students with tours to its Digital Media Center and <br />Technology Business Incubator to be exposed to businesses and entrepreneurs <br />immersed in the digital media industry. <br />3. RSCCD will provide facilities where training can be conducted as appropriate and <br />suitable for classroom- format instruction, such as at the Digital Media Center and <br />the college district operations center. <br />5. RSCCD will provide participants with a Certificate of Completion for the first half <br />of the program and a Certificate of Achievement for those students who <br />successfully complete the entire full -year of training components. <br />V. Funding of Agreement <br />Funding for this agreement will be provided by a Workforce investment Act <br />(WIA) Youth Service Provider grant. <br />As the agency of record, PRCSA will pay RSCCD Corporate Training Institute up <br />front for any fees incurred for curriculum development and training, and then request <br />reimbursement from WIA. <br />L2604 45 <br />
