• All City purchases will be for the sole expressed use of and for the <br />City. <br />The Contractor shall secure, store, inventory, distribute and <br />control all materials entrusted to the Contractor's representatives. <br />All materials and inventories shall be made available to the Citv <br />upon request. <br />• The Contractor will reduce the unit cost for each maintenance task <br />by the City's actual cost for the materials provided and used. <br />E. SUPERVISION OF CONTRACT <br />All work shall meet with the approval of the City of Santa Ana's Projects <br />Manager or designee. There shall be a weekly meeting with the <br />Contractor and the Projects Manager or designee to determine progress <br />and to establish areas needing attention. A monthly maintenance <br />schedule will be submitted in writing to the City by the first of each month. <br />Any specific problem area which does not meet the conditions of the <br />specifications set forth herein shall be called to the attention of the <br />Contractor and if not corrected, payment to the Contractor will not be <br />made until the condition is corrected in a satisfactory manner as set forth <br />in the specifications. <br />F. WORKMANSHIP AND SUPERVISION <br />Work shall be performed by competent and experienced workers. All <br />irrigation maintenance and repairs shall be monitored by a California <br />Landscape Contractors Association, Certified Landscape Technician-I <br />(Irrigation). <br />The work force shall include a thoroughly skilled, experienced, and <br />competent supervisor who shall be responsible for adherence to the <br />specifications. Supervisors and lead workers must communicate <br />effectively, both in written and oral English, and shall be present at <br />all times during contract operations. Any order given to these <br />supervisors or lead workers shall be deemed as delivered to the <br />Contractor. <br />All pesticide operations, where required, shall be performed by a <br />California State Licensed pest control operator through written <br />recommendation by a California State Licensed Pest Control Advisor. <br />The Contractor shall be responsible for compliance with all local, state, <br />and federal laws and regulations regarding pesticide usage. <br />All personnel working at the outlined areas shall be neat in appearance <br />and in uniforms as approved by the Projects Manager or designee. All <br />personnel shall wear identification badges or patches. Those employees <br />working in or adjacent to traffic lanes shall wear safety vests. <br />25E-18
