SERVICES <br />3.1 CONTRACTOR shall engage participants for the number of hours as <br />referred by WTW staff. <br />3.2 Individual CalWORKs WTW participation requirements are currently <br />as follows and are subject to change according to State and Federal mandates: <br />3.2.1 One (1) Parent Assistance Unit: <br />A. Twenty (20) hours per week for single parents with a <br />child under six (6) years old. <br />B. Thirty (30) hours per week for single parents without a <br />child under six (6) years old. <br />3.2.2 Two (2) Parent Assistance Unit: <br />A. Thirty-five (35) hours per week for two (2) parent <br />Assistance Units. One (1) parent can satisfy the total thirty-five (35) hour <br />requirement. If both parents contribute to the thirty-five (35) hour <br />requirement then at least one parent shall participate a minimum of twenty <br />(20) hours per week. <br />3.3 VTR is a temporary, transitional, and short-term educational <br />activity, not to exceed twelve (12) months, to prepare participants for <br />employment in a specific trade, occupation, or vocation. Due to the WTW <br />twenty-four (24) Month Time Clock, the VTR twelve (12) month lifetime limit <br />has been extended an additional twenty-four (24) months, not to exceed a total <br />of thirty-six (36) months, with prior approval from the SSA Program Manager. <br />VTR activities must be provided by vocational-technical schools, postsecondary <br />institutions or proprietary schools.
