1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />3.12 Welfare-To-Work (WTW): A mandated program under CaiWORKs which <br />requires parents or caretakers in families on CalWORKs assistance, unless <br />exempted, to meet work requirements by participating in WTW activities with a <br />goal of unsubsidized employment leading to self-sufficiency. <br />3.13 WTW Staff: An SSA employee or contracted case management staff, <br />either an Initial Services Worker (ISW) or WTW Case Manager (WTW CM), who is <br />assigned to each WTW participant to monitor the progression of the participant <br />through the WTW program and has primary responsibility to resolve the <br />participant's supportive services needs and address barriers. <br />3.14 Welfare-To-Work Plan: A plan developed by WTW staff and the <br />participant that specifies work related activities in which the participant <br />shall engage and the supportive services to be provided to the participant. <br />3.15 Work Participation Hours: The number of hours per week a <br />participant is required to engage in WTW activities, based on Federal and <br />State requirements. <br />3.16 Worksite: An employment site for WEX training activities at <br />public or private, for-profit or not-for-profit organizations. <br />4. STATUS OF CONTRACTOR <br />CONTRACTOR is and shall at all times be deemed to be an independent <br />contractor and shall be wholly responsible for the manner in which it performs <br />the services required of it by the terms of this Agreement. Nothing herein <br />contained shall be construed as creating the relationship of employer and <br />employee, or principal and agent, between COUNTY and CONTRACTOR or any of <br />CONTRACTOR's agents or employees. CONTRACTOR assumes exclusively the <br />responsibility for the acts of its employees or agents as they relate to <br />services to be provided during the course and scope of their employment. <br />CONTRACTOR, its agents, employees, and volunteers shall not be entitled <br />to any rights and/or privileges of COUNTY employees, and shall not be <br />(WAM0313) <br />7 of 40 <br />(April 8, 2013)
