Set Public Hearing For_ <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with Azteca <br />Landscape to provide landscape maintenance services in District Four for an 18-month term with <br />four one-year renewal options in an amount of $1,174,926.06, with a 10% contingency for <br />unanticipated work for a total amount not to exceed $1,292,418.67, subject to non-substantive <br />changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency (PRCSA) is currently divided into four <br />park maintenance districts and the Civic Center district. The landscape maintenance contract in <br />District Four has expired. On May 14, 2013, PRCSA issued request for proposals (RFP #13-010 <br />PRCSA) to 13 landscape maintenance vendors. On May 23, 2013 a pre-proposal conference <br />was conducted and on June 6, 2013 the City received proposals from five firms: Azteca <br />Landscape, Mariposa Landscape, Inc., Midori Gardens, Parkwood Landscape Maintenance <br />Services and Vista Del Verde. Vista Del Verde's proposal was received after the deadline and <br />was returned unopened. <br />An evaluation committee consisting of representatives from PRCSA Park Services, PRCSA <br />Administration, and the City of Anaheim reviewed and rated the four proposals. The proposals <br />were evaluated according to Capability and Experience of Contractor (25%), Past Performance <br />(25%), and Cost of Proposal (50%), as listed in the RFP. The highest rated contractor is being <br />recommended for this contract. <br />25A-1
