ORDINANCE NO. NS- <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA REZONING THE PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 1400 -1441 SOUTH VILLAGE WAY AND <br />2100 EAST WILSHIRE AVENUE FROM LIGHT <br />INDUSTRIAL (M1) TO SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT <br />NO. 85 (SD -85) (AA NO. 2013 -02) AND ADOPTING <br />SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT NO. 85 (SD -85) FOR <br />SAID PROPERTY <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana does hereby find, <br />determine and declare as follows: <br />A. Amendment Application No. 2013 -02 has been filed with the City of <br />Santa Ana to change the zoning district designation of certain real <br />property located at 1400 -1441 South Village Way and 2100 East <br />Wilshire Avenue from Light Industrial (M1) to Specific Development <br />No. 85 (SD -85). The Specific Development No. 85 zoning district <br />(SD -85) would allow manufacturing, warehouse and wholesale uses <br />as well as commercial uses that are consistent with and support the <br />surrounding industrial tenants. These uses include retail, restaurants <br />and indoor sports facilities. <br />B. The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana held a duly <br />noticed public hearing on June 10, 2013, on Amendment Application <br />No. 2013 -02 and decided to recommend that the City Council adopt <br />an ordinance approving Amendment Application No. 2013 -02, which <br />is consistent with the General Plan. <br />C. This Council, prior to taking action on this ordinance, held a duly <br />noticed public hearing on July 1, 2013. <br />D. The City Council also adopts as findings all facts presented in the <br />Request for Council Action dated July 1, 2013 accompanying this <br />matter. <br />E. For these reasons, and each of them, Amendment Application No. <br />2013 -02 is hereby found and determined to be consistent with the <br />General Plan of the City of Santa Ana and otherwise justified by the <br />public necessity, convenience, and general welfare. <br />11 A -3 <br />
