Amendment to Agreement with URS Corporation for Engineering Services <br />August 5, 2013 <br />Page 2 <br />In order for the City to receive the recently awarded $2.5 million OCTA Measure M2 Environmental <br />Cleanup Program grant for construction, the design engineering phase must be completed, <br />including obtaining environmental and encroachment permits, and the construction contract <br />awarded by June 30, 2014. <br />URS Corporation is ready to complete final construction documents, obtain the necessary permits, <br />and complete all tasks related to the design phase (Exhibit 3). The total project delivery cost is <br />estimated to be $4.2 million; however, at this time, only the design engineering funding is being <br />requested. When the project is ready for construction, City staff will identify the funding sources to <br />fund construction. Staff is seeking additional grant funds to minimize or eliminate the impact on <br />the Federal Clean Water Protection Fund. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There is no environmental impact associated with this action. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds are available in the Federal Clean Water Protection Fund (Account 05717640-62300). <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />Edwin "William" a z, P.E.
