Mayor Pulido requested clarification on substitute motion made by Mayor <br />Pro Tern Tinajero from staff. Planning & Building Agency Executive <br />Director Trevino indicated that businesses could continue to sell food, but <br />the entertainment is at question. <br />Councilmember Martinez concerned with public safety and staff <br />resources. Commented on number of staff members of other police <br />department agencies with similar issues. Support Mayor Pro Tern <br />Tinajero's motion to allow larger establishments to be open longer and <br />allow entertainment. <br />Planning & Building Agency Executive Director Trevino noted that all <br />businesses that have after hour Conditional Use Permit (CUP) could <br />continue to sell food under existing ordinance because it requires a CUP <br />and they all have permits. <br />Councilmember Reyna suggested that only staff recommendation be <br />considered; City Council concurred to only consider original motion. <br />MOTION: <br />1.
