Among the 300 1 through 3 quarter enrollees who completed a baseline survey, those <br />who completed a follow -up survey did not differ from those who did not with regard to <br />age and gender. <br />3.1.2 Race /Ethnicity <br />As depicted in Table 3 -1, nearly three - quarters of baseline respondents (n= 290, 74.2 %) are <br />Hispanic/ Latino. Eight respondents (2.0 %) report their race or ethnicity as "other," and of <br />these, five described themselves as being of mixed race, two as "Middle Eastern," and one <br />individual as "Cherokee." Nine respondents refused to provide information regarding their <br />race or ethnicity and are omitted from the total.
