City of Santa Ana Workforce Investment Board E Our Board E Committees & Members Page 1 of 2 <br />Our Board ( Cou nnittees <br />Welcome to the Committees page} The Santa Ana Worldorce Investnent Board (WIB) established <br />various committees for the purpose of ensuring the flow of the Win strategic plan. F lbvAng is more <br />irr€arnration on each of the committees and their responsibilities. <br />Executive Committee <br />The Executive Committee it comprned of the Chairperson; Vice- Chairperson, the immediate past- <br />Chairperson, if a cwent WIS member; and the Chairpersons and VK&Chairper o of the standing <br />committees. This committee meets every other month opposite from the WIB. <br />The purpose of the Executive Committee: <br />!. Provide recoxmnendations regard'atg regular agenda items of the WIB as deemed nec ry by <br />the Executive Committee or WIB <br />2. Formulate policy recommendations concerning all aspects of the Boards responsibilities and <br />the Workforce Investment System's operation for consideration arc$ action by the WIB <br />3.. Complete activities contained in the WIB Strategic Work Plan <br />4. Act as a clearinghouse for all of the committees of the WIB by reviewing and making <br />recommendations on all items to be presented to the full WIB <br />S. Develop a communication plan to provide continuous communication with local, state and <br />federal elected officials and the pass to promote successes and encourage WIB members to <br />communicate regularly with local elected officials <br />5. Whenever appropriate, due to firm constraints or oth-- factors, the eceautive Cemrrdttee shall <br />have dedsioxrnrakii authority on behalf of the WIB.. <br />Marketing Committee <br />Develop t#re vaiden marketing plan for lire WIB to promote services funded with WIA funds. Convene <br />task forces, focus groups and conducts telephone surveys to determine incentives and obstacles for <br />businesses to use the One -Stop Center's services. Review, evaluate and make recommendations on the <br />current marketing materials being used by the One -Strap Center and the WIB. <br />Develop a written plan to recruit and retain members on the WIB. Bring potential new board members <br />to the WIB for their consideration.
