At the time that analysis was begun, CY 2008 data was the most <br /> recent data available. 2011 CY data will be available in September 2012; however, FHCOC <br /> budget and staffing constraints have prevented an analysis of the newer data. FHCOC will <br /> endeavor to analyze of some basic aspects of this data in 2013-2014 and ' 'th 2008 data. <br /> • During 2012-2013, FHCOC was active in efforts intended to pro ng affordability <br /> within Orange County. FHCOC provided services and/or outreac involved in <br /> the creation, preservation or facilitation of affordable housi included <br /> <br /> the Kennedy Commission, Mental Health Association vices <br /> Foundation, Affordable Housing Clearinghouse, Jambor . County <br /> Congregations Community Organizations, and Oran rporation. <br /> FHCOC also provided HUD-funded housing couns, A homebuyers <br /> understand ways to access greater housing ch <br /> • In response to the recent increase o federal funding to <br /> specifically counsel distressed borrow voiding foreclosures and <br /> preserving or achieving housing of°_-_ olds that were served were <br /> <br /> lower-income minorities and ir`HCOC provided counseling to <br /> more than 150 households f - and foreclosure during 2012-2013. <br /> These activities helped sieved homeownership, which helps <br /> .w - F.m, F lessen <br /> concentratio - °ention activities assisted individuals with <br /> limited English p ns with documents (often all prepared in <br /> English) that h am what they believed or were informed they <br /> were obta <br /> than a full understanding. FHCOC also undertook specific outreach <br /> efforts to immigrant populations in low-income neighborhoods. It is estimated that <br /> countywide, more than 800 limited English proficiency households were served during the past <br /> 12 months. FHCOC also continued to implement activities under a Fair Housing Initiatives <br /> Program (FHIP) grant. These program efforts specifically targeted fair housing services to <br /> immigrant communities, especially immigrants with limited English proficiency.
