Collectively these servers host over 50 <br />departmental computer applications such as Computer -Aided Dispatch, ProLaw, and Class. <br />Currently nine servers have reached their end of life and no longer meet operational capacity <br />and are incompatible with virtualization software. <br />Staff recommends the replacement of four servers in the Police Department and five servers in <br />City Hall to add data storage capacity and improved performance which are critical to operational <br />needs. In addition, the new servers will support the virtual infrastructure which enables each <br />physical server to support multiple virtual servers. <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on July 25, 2013 and bids were solicited.
