Report for Housing Division <br />Projects and Activities <br />June 3, 2013 <br />Page 2 <br />Chart 1 illustrates the percentage of <br />those on the waiting list who work or live <br />in Santa Ana. These applicants are given <br />a preference on the list. <br />Chart 2 illustrates the number of <br />applicants by total household size. The <br />majority of families on the waiting list <br />consist of only one or two <br />members. <br />1. Household Size <br />Nearly half of all applicants <br />(1,447 of 3,048, or 47%) have <br />one or two member households, <br />and would qualify for a one <br />bedroom voucher. The Santa <br />Ana Housing Authority's <br />occupancy policy is one <br />bedroom for every two family <br />members. <br />Participants <br />At the end of the reporting <br />period, there were 2,692 <br />households receiving rental <br />assistance from the Housing <br />Authority. <br />Chart 3 illustrates narticinatina <br />families, sorted by number of <br />family members.
