Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Renew the contracts for preventive maintenance and repair services of chillers, compressors and <br />HVAC units for a one-year period in an annual aggregate amount not to exceed $130,000, subject to <br />non-substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney, with the following <br />vendors. <br />Vendor: Location: <br />ACCO Engineered Systems Costa Mesa <br />Johnson Controls Whittier <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Finance and Management Service Agency Building Maintenance Division maintains over 30 <br />buildings, including recreation and senior centers, City Hall, the Police Administration building and the <br />Corporate Yard. These public buildings require various levels of service for complex mechanical <br />systems, including chillers, compressors and heating and air conditioning equipment. To maintain <br />these systems in good working condition, preventative maintenance, periodic inspections and repair <br />of equipment on an as-needed basis is essential. Preventive maintenance services ensure the City's <br />mechanical systems operate efficiently, safely and meet all applicable laws and regulations. <br />On June 20, 2011, the City Council <br />Controls for a one-year period with <br />to renew the contracts with a less <br />second renewal of the contracts. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />awarded contracts to ACCO Engineered Systems and Johnson <br />provisions for two one-year renewals. The vendors have agreed <br />than one percent increase in pricing.
