Councilmember Benavides request DUI checkpoint and funding sources <br />be agendized on the next Public Safety Council Committee agenda. <br />Councilmember Martinez thanked the Police Department staff for efforts in <br />applying and receiving grants to assist the community. <br />Acting Police Chief Rojas indicated that funds will be used Citywide for <br />enforcement purposes. <br />Councilmember Sarmiento proposed that school education programs be <br />established. <br />MOTION: <br />1. Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute <br />an agreement, subject to non-substantive changes approved by <br />the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />AGMT NO. 2013-134 - With the State Office of Traffic Safety for a <br />one-year agreement for Selective Traffic Enforcement Program <br />(STEP) Grant funds, in an amount not to exceed $201,300. <br />2. Approve an appropriation adjustment.
