4 <br />Orange County Children's Therapeutic ARTS Center <br />2215 N Broadway • Santa Ana, CA 92706 • 714.547.5468 • Fax 714.564.9690 • www.occtac.org <br />501(c)3Federal Tax ID# 33-0930891 <br />Supportive Services Policies and Procedures <br />WIA Program 2013-2014 <br />Purpose: To establish guidelines for the issuance of supportive services to participants who are <br />identified in need of such services. Goal is to aid this youth with their successful <br />completion of OCCTAC's WIA program. <br />Procedures: <br />Eligibility: <br />Supportive services are available to those identified as approved WIA participants; <br />have limited resources to meet basic needs; and have expressed the need of <br />additional support to the Case Manager. <br />Supportive services will be made available to participants while they are enrolled in <br />all phases of the WIA program. These services are contingent upon approval by the <br />Case Manager and OCCTAC Director. <br />Provision of supportive service is not an entitlement. <br />Availabilitv of Funds and Assessment of Need: <br />The fiscal advisor or the accounting clerk and the Executive Director will verify the <br />availability of funds and notify the case manager. Supportive services are delivered <br />contingent upon availability of funds, the need of the participant and given on a first <br />come, first serve basis. <br />Initial assessment on need will be determined by the case manager and will be <br />reviewed regularly. Logs of services will be kept on a regular basis and service(s) <br />will also be case noted for documentation purposes. <br />Transportation Assistance Guidelines: <br />After identifying the need to transportation assistance and eliminating other <br />resources, the case manager and the participant will develop a service plan and <br />update progress in the case notes. <br />Transportation assistance is defined as the provision of a gas voucher or bus pass. <br />No replacement bus pass or gas card will be issued in the event the participant loses <br />his/her bus pass or gas card. <br />Fingerprinting —Live Scan and TB Test: <br />Participants who work with children and are placed in an educational setting will be <br />required to undergo Fingerprinting —Live Scan through the Department of Justice <br />and show a cleared TB Test. This supportive service will be available for participants <br />on a case -by -case basis and determined by the case manager. <br />
