If youth and their families ever need to <br />come into our offices or satellites, we will arrange transportation for them. The times when <br />youth and their families come to our offices is when there are safety or gang issues, issues of <br />confidentiality, desiring mental health services but wanting it to be away from their family or <br />neighborhood, etc. However, most of our services are provided in the community where our <br />community members live. For example, we previously had a CaIGRIP grant with the County <br />of Orange, Workforce Investment Board and we conduct our services at Bishop Manor at <br />1000 E. Bishop St. (Bishop and Standard), Santa Ana. We also conduct our mental health <br />program services in Santa Ana at The Cambodian Family 1626 E. Fourth St., and at Asian <br />American Senior Citizens Service Center at 850 North Birch Street. We've also partnered <br />with other nonprofits including Latino Health Access and Delhi Community Center and have <br />had services at ACCESS school sites. Services will also be delivered at adult schools, <br />housing centers, community centers, community colleges and in partnership with local <br />elected officials representing neighborhoods and regions in Santa Ana. <br />B. Our hours of operation are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM however we offer our services, classes, case <br />management, job development, counseling, etc. at all hours and on the weekends whatever is <br />best for youth and their families. We also have cell phones for youth to text or reach us at <br />various hours as well as traveling laptops with wife for youth to be able to access <br />information, job development resources, training, and afterschool services. We will have <br />available services in the evenings and weekends at various community sites in Santa Ana so <br />all neighborhoods and families have access to our program. <br />C. Staff are young, youth -friendly, nonjudgmental, bilingual and from the communities they <br />serve. A majority of our staff speaks Spanish or Vietnamese as well as we have a total of 16 <br />languages available for services. We also have bilingual Parent Partners who provide <br />services and support to the parents and caregivers in the family. Our case managers are very <br />youth friendly, young people who live and work in the communities we serve, are truly <br />competent in youth culture, but also receive more than 500 hours of training in serving and <br />supporting youth. OCAPICA follows a very inclusive model, always involving the <br />community and youth in all aspects of our programs' development, implementation, and <br />evaluation. We utilize leadership development, mentoring, resiliency model, 40 <br />Developmental Assets, mentoring, the Social Ecological Model, and the Empowerment <br />Model, and patient and community navigation in all of our program work. OCAPICA also <br />partners with 40 different agencies in providing services to the community and ensures self <br />efficacy and capacity building is developed for all individuals and families. <br />D. Internet access will be available for staff and youth at all locations and in the field. All staff <br />have desktop computers as well as laptops that have wireless internet cards (wifi). We utilize <br />the laptops with wireless internet cards to be able to be portable and go from site to site and <br />be more accessible to youth and their families. <br />EXHIBIT A <br />
