Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager to submit applications for funding <br />consideration under the Measure M2 Comprehensive Transportation Funding Program. <br />2. Direct staff to amend the Seven-Year Capital Improvement Program to incorporate the <br />Comprehensive Transportation Funding Program projects list. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The City will be submitting five applications totaling $19,730,000 in grant fund requests. Adoption <br />of the recommended Resolution and amending the Seven-Year Capital Improvement Program is <br />a qualifying requirement to submit the grant applications. <br />The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) has issued a call for projects under the <br />Measure M2 Comprehensive Transportation Funding Program (CTFP) for FY 2014/15 through <br />FY 2016/17. Funding in the amount of $35 million will be awarded on a countywide competitive <br />basis in the Regional Capacity and Traffic Signal Synchronization programs. Existing and future <br />local funding sources will be used to provide the required matching funds for the recommended <br />projects. <br />Staff is requesting authorization to apply for the following projects: <br />RECOMMENDED PROJECTS PHASE GRANT $ FY <br />Bristol Street Widening: Civic Center to Washington RNV $6,500,000 14115 <br />Bristol Street Widening: Warner to St. Andrew R/W $11,500,000 14/15 <br />Grand Avenue and 1s` Street Intersection Widening Design $60,000 14/15 <br />Harbor Boulevard Corridor Traffic Signal Synchronization Implementation / <br />maintenance $570,000 14/15 <br />Bristol Street Corridor Traffic Signal Synchronization Implementation / <br />maintenance. <br />$1,100,000 <br />14/15 <br />Total $19,730,000 <br />55B-1
