workdays in the following seven (7) day period. This cycle shall be <br />repeated twice each 28 day FLSA Work Period. Effective November <br />1, 2004, each workday shall consist of 11 hours and 30 minutes of <br />work and a one (1) hour meal period, 30 minutes of which shall be <br />paid and 30 minutes of which shall be unpaid, for a total of 12 hours <br />and 30 minutes. During each 28 day FLSA Work Period, employees <br />assigned to the 207(k) 7/12.5 Work Schedule shall earn one (1) hour <br />of vacation time if they do not take leave without pay during that <br />Work Period. Detention Officers will be compensated at the time and <br />a half overtime rate for all time worked in excess of their regular <br />work shift of 12.5 hours per workday. The overtime compensation <br />will apply only to actual time worked beyond the regular shift and <br />calculated in increments of six (6) minutes. <br />C. 207(k)4/10.5 Work Schedule-Detention Administration. Employees <br />shall work seven (7) ten hour and 30 minute workdays and one (1) ten <br />hour workday during each two (2) week period. This pattern will <br />recur twice during the 28 day FLSA Work Period. Each 10 hour and <br />30 minute workday shall consist of 10 hours and 30 minutes of work <br />and either a 30 minute or one (1) hour unpaid meal period. The 10 <br />hour workday shall consist of 10 hours of work and either a 30 <br />minute or one (1) hour unpaid meal period. The determination as to a <br />thirty (30) minute or one (1) hour unpaid meal period shall be made <br />by the Police Chief or his designee. <br />d. 207(k) 4/10 Work Schedule. Employees shall work 16 ten hour <br />workdays in each 28 day FLSA Work Period. Each workday shall <br />consist of 10 hours of work and either a 30 minute or one (1) hour <br />unpaid meal period. The determination as to a 30 minute or one (1) <br />hour unpaid meal period shall be made by the Police Chief or his <br />designee. <br />e. 207(k) 9/80 Work Schedule. Employees shall work five (5) nine <br />hour workdays in one (1) seven (7) day span and three (3) nine hour <br />workdays and one (1) eight hour workday in the second seven (7) day <br />span, or alternatively three (3) nine hour workdays and one (1) eight <br />hour workday in the first seven (7) day span and five (5) nine hour <br />workdays in the second span. This cycle shall be repeated twice each <br />28 day FLSA Work Period. Each nine (9) hour workday shall consist <br />of nine (9) hours of work and either a 30 minute or one (1) hour <br />unpaid meal period. The eight (8) hour workday shall consist of eight <br />(8) hours of work and either a 30 minute or one (1) hour unpaid meal <br />period. The determination as to a 30 minute or one (1) hour unpaid <br />meal period shall be made by the Police Chief or his designee. <br />f. 207(k) 9/81 Work Schedule. Employees shall work 81 hours in a <br />consecutive 14 day, 336 hour period. This cycle shall be repeated <br />25A-30
