Councilmember Benavides <br />• Convoy of Hope event well attended; thanked participants and <br />community organizations; <br />• Encouraged all to complete Strategic Plan survey - 2 weeks left to <br />submit; <br />• Noted that PREY Council Committee to consider mural project; <br />• Recognized Councilmember Reyna for hosting Youth Summit at Boys <br />Club; successful event that mentors and proving leadership skills to <br />our youth; <br />• Asked Planning and Building Executive Director Trevino to comment <br />on utility art box: <br />o Director Trevino noted that Mayor authorized Ad Hoc committee; <br />committee met and directed staff to review pilot programs in Long <br />Beach and San Clemente; models considered by committee; staff <br />recommends pilot program; full Council to consider art concepts; <br />and <br />• Suggest that Public Information Officer send out information to public. <br />Mayor Pulido <br />• Welcomed new City Manager; <br />• Noted City's efforts in the Artist Village over the years; redevelopment <br />funds had been used to attract restaurants; foodies revolution taking <br />place with more recognitions coming; and <br />• Wished all a Happy Halloween. <br />ADJOURNED - 9:23 P.M. - The next meeting of the City Council is scheduled for <br />Monday, November 4, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. for the Closed Session <br />Meeting immediately followed by the Regular Open Business <br />Meeting at 5:45 p.m. in the Council Chamber, 22 Civic Center <br />Plaza, Santa Ana, California. <br />Maria D.
